I’ve fitted a lot of volume pedals to pedalboards over the years and always felt there was a compromise somewhere. Whether it was the feel of the pedal, the audio quality, the sweep, or just the real estate it took up on the board when I didn’t necessarily want to use it all the time. I also knew that the idea of a volume pedal that could do more than just mute the signal would be something that I’d actually use. On TheGigRig Christmas night out last year we all managed to get on the wrong train from Bath. While we sat at Freshford station waiting for the return train, all these ideas came together.
